'Higgs Decay' Guitar

Custom Painted Ibanez Sabre

A totally unique Ibanez.

This guitar was commissioned and largely designed by it's owner Dr Mark Lewney, as part of a series of Physics based lectures being presented throughout the UK during 2008. Without going into too much detail (basically because it's mostly way, way over my head), Mark explains and demonstrates the acoustics of guitar in dynamic physics based presentations, designed and delivered so as not only to be informative, but interesting too! Much easier to do when can play rock guitar as well as Mark can and does during his presentations. The design itself incorporates references to 'String Theory' via the 'Higgs Decay' representation, along with visual reference to the eminent physicists Max Planck and the likely much more recogniseable, Albert Einstein.

Check out Marks web site for dates of the tour and for far better explanations of what the tour is about than I've managed here. Well worth a look if you're into guitars.........or physics!
