Welcome to my web site.

About the Site.

This web site showcases what is now a fairly diverse spread of artwork. Showing some of my pencil drawings, book illustrations, airbrush work and some three dimensional sculptural work too, there should hopefully be something here for everybody.

What else will you find here?

Hopefully the answer to that is information.

Obviously one of the main reasons for this web site is to show off my work to a 'hopefully' appreciative and of course detail obsessed world! But more than that, to also show something of the processes involved in the work I do here.

The reasoning behind this is two-fold. Firstly, most people considering commissioning this kind of work are unlikely to be aware of the many stages and processes involved. So by seeing many of these painting stages on the site, you have the opportunity to see and hopefully understand some of the techniques used on custom projects here.

The second reason for showing so many of the stages of the process is purely for information. If like me you're a bit of a fanatic where custom artwork is concerned, then you'll hopefully find it interesting to see how some of the artwork shown here is actually done.

I spend many hours looking at custom artwork studying how like minded people go about their work. It's actually a great way to learn and develop your own skills and techniques. So it made sense to me, to show some of the working stages of a few of my own projects in the 'Fresh Paint' and 'Step by Step' sections of this web site, for other 'like minded' visitors.

The 'Fresh Paint' section shows currently unfinished projects through the various stages of the painting process. The 'Step by Step' section, features fully completed projects through many of their prepping, painting and finishing stages.

Another addition to the site is the 'Frequently Asked Questions' (F.A.Q.s), page. Between them all, hopefully these pages will help to pass on some relevant and interesting information.

Opposite - Strawberry Guitar

Is it just guitars?

Simple answer, 'No'. There is a broad mix of work shown on the site here, with custom work on motorbikes, helmets and fiddles featured on the 'Custom Work' page. Also still here are the 'Pencil' drawing pages and information on pencil drawing. These are all still relevant to the site today because they demonstrate the origins of my unfortunate fixation with detail, now carried over to my custom work.

As for the 'Odd Bits' page, possibly sadly appropriate for me, but anyway. The 'Odd Bits' shown are mostly random odd bits and pieces of mainly older and more varied 'doodlings'. These are bits and pieces that simply don't fit in anywhere else on the site, mostly older images and rough sketches, though there is all sorts of artwork in there.

Most of the other stuff on the site is fairly self explanatory. But ultimately everything shown has to differing degrees influenced the artwork being produced here today.

It's all about the detail and the artwork!

Most artists have their own style, preferences and favored techniques very often completely unique to themselves.

It therefore makes sense when considering any custom artwork, to first look for someone specializing in the particular type of artwork you're looking to get done. My personal preference is fine detailed artwork. I push the boundaries wherever possible by developing new techniques for applying extremely fine detail to my work. I don't ever use bought in stencils, so all my artwork is totally original and guaranteed as a 'one off'. I also take greatest care in the attention to detail applied to every stage of my work.

Because of this my work may often take slightly longer to complete and can cost slightly more. But quality is the bottom line. 'Pretty good' or 'passable', just won't do here.

Current Project

This is the bike project I'm working on at the moment. A GSXR 1100 slingshot engined bobber chop getting some skulls, demonic images and a sexy looking woman too!
