The pencil drawings, graphics, illustrations and airbrush work shown on this site represent a fairly broad mix of work done over recent years. They also hopefully show some of the individual elements that have contributed to the guitar artwork shown on this website today.

These days I work solely on guitar artwork and guitar finishing after many years spent experimenting, learning and developing many different techniques, invariably the hard way. The main intention then as now always being, to push the boundaries and possibilities of guitar artwork as far as possible down the highly detailed route.

Strawberry Guitar

..

Hopefully the answer to that is information. Obviously one of the main reasons for this website is to show off my work to a 'hopefully' appreciative and of course, totally guitar motivated world! But more than that, also to show something of the processes involved in the custom painting and finishing of a guitar.

That's mainly because unless you've ever done any custom airbrush work yourself, whether it be on guitars, cars, motorbikes, or whatever - it's highly unlikely that you'll have any idea of any of the processes, stages and potential pitfalls involved. Particularly, as here with guitars, where just the finishing process itself is considered something of a 'dark' and mysterious art.

Anyway, because of all this I wanted to try and show at least some of the working stages of the various guitars featured here on the site. So, the 'Fresh Paint' and 'Step by Step' sections were added. The 'Fresh Paint' section typically showing several guitars in various stages of completion at any one time. The 'Guitar Painting - Step by Step' section, also showing some already completed guitar projects through many of their prepping, painting and finishing stages. Also, a fairly recent addition to the site is the 'Studio Diary' page. This is added to regularly, often filling in the gaps between entries in the 'Fresh Paint' pages, as well as enabling me pass on any relevant or interesting information.

Hopefully these sections will also go some way to showing that 'quality' custom artwork, while maybe appearing to be quite expensive at first glance, is actually, invariably very good value for your money.

Simple answer, 'No'. There is still a broad mix of work shown on the site here, with some older custom work on motorbikes, helmets and fiddles still shown in the 'Custom Work' pages. Also still here are the 'Pencil' drawing pages and information on pencil drawing. These pages are still relevant to the site, because they demonstrate the origins of my unfortunate fixation with detail, now carried over to guitar artwork.

As for the 'Odd Bits' page, some may say 'very appropriate for me', but anyway. The 'Odd Bits' shown are random odd bits and pieces of mainly older and more varied 'doodlings'. These are bits and pieces that simply don't fit in anywhere else on the site. They are mostly older images and rough sketches, but actually there's all sorts of work in there.

Most of the other stuff on the site is fairly self explanatory. But ultimately everything shown on the site here, to differing degrees, has had some influence on the guitar artwork shown on the website.

It goes without saying that there are many other very talented airbrush artists out there producing great work, some of whom occasionally also doing artwork on guitars.

However, if you're looking for a totally specialised professional guitar customising service, providing the ultimate in fine detailed custom guitar artwork, top quality guitar finishing and technical innovation, then take the time to have a look around this website.

If that is what you're looking for, you've found the right place.
