This pencil drawing also done on A2 watercolour paper took many weeks to complete. The reference material used in this drawing was: A photograph of the top of our 2004 Christmas tree and a 10cm x 5cm photograph of an owl taken from a Sunday newspaper clipping. The rest of it is completely made up. There's a hint of the Alps in there, some of the Highlands of Scotland, a bit of the Arctic and a suggestion of the Northern Lights (or Merry Dancers as they're known up here) all mixed in together. Also, hidden in the fine detail (below) are five sheep, three deer, an otter, two towns and a poacher (if you can find him?)
